This was not a re-enactment of the shot heard round the world, marking the start of the American Revolutionary War. Rather, this was a re-enactment of a simple task that no doubt happened in our midst in 1775, if not on April 19 surely on days before and after.

Guilderland

Following a town board discussion about turning an old landfill property on Kenyon Road in Rensselaerville into a memorial park, The Enterprise found out through the state Department of Environmental Conservation that, while the town legally closed the landfill many decades ago, the state has yet to determine that it was not adversely affecting water quality in the area.

The deal nets Atlas Copco a little under $2 million in tax benefits. 

Hilltowns

The Westerlo Town Board voted unanimously to ask Albany County to install a traffic light at the intersection of county routes 401 and 404, following a fatal car accident there late last month.
